Come face-to-face with sharks, rays and tropical fish at Skegness Aquarium with two unforgettable experiences. Our Shark Educational Dive is suitable for beginners and experienced divers, with up to four participants per session. Our Shark Snorkelling Ranger experience introduces children aged 6–11 to our younger sharks, with up to five participants per session. Whichever adventure you choose, our expert team will provide instruction, guidance and in-water training to help everyone feel safe and confident. With a dedicated dive room, changing areas and small group sizes, each participant receives personal care and attention before meeting our incredible marine life up close.

How it works
The Shark Educational Dive and Shark Snorkelling Ranger experiences can be booked up to one year in advance. Before their visit, participants will receive an online lesson and digital registration forms to complete at home. Please provide the correct email address when booking to ensure all important information and updates are received. Completing these steps in advance helps participants arrive prepared and ready to make the most of their experience.

FAQs
Which experience is suitable for my child?
The Shark Snorkelling Ranger experience is designed for children aged 6–11. The Shark Educational Dive is available to participants aged 10 and over. Children aged 10–11 may therefore choose either experience, depending on their confidence and preference.
Do participants need previous diving or snorkelling experience?
No. Both experiences are suitable for complete beginners. Our experienced team provides a full briefing, equipment introduction and practical instruction before participants enter the water.
How long do the experiences last?
Please allow approximately two hours for the Shark Educational Dive, including around 40 minutes in the main tank. The Shark Snorkelling Ranger experience lasts approximately one hour, with around 20 minutes in the water.
What equipment is provided?
All specialist diving or snorkelling equipment required for the experience is provided, including a wetsuit, mask and appropriate safety equipment. Participants will be shown how to use everything before entering the water.
How many participants are in each session?
Shark Educational Dive sessions have a maximum of four divers, while Shark Snorkelling Ranger sessions can accommodate up to five children. These small groups allow our instructors to provide personal guidance and reassurance.
Are there any medical requirements?
Yes. A digital medical declaration must be completed honestly before participation. Some medical conditions may require confirmation of fitness from an appropriate medical professional. Please read the medical information before booking and contact the Dive Team if you are unsure.
Can family and friends watch?
Yes. Spectator arrangements vary between the two experiences, so please check the individual experience page for full details before booking.
What happens if we arrive late?
Please arrive at the time stated in your booking confirmation. A maximum lateness allowance of 10 minutes applies to the Shark Educational Dive and 5 minutes to the Shark Snorkelling Ranger experience. Anyone arriving later than this will be unable to participate and will forfeit the experience.
Can we book a private session or group experience?
Yes. Private sessions and tailored packages may be available for parties, clubs, schools, corporate groups and other special occasions. Please contact our team to discuss your requirements.
When will we receive the registration forms and online lesson?
The required digital forms and online learning will be sent to the email address provided when booking. Please complete everything before your visit so participants arrive prepared for their experience.
